Great visit for the kids. Being season ticket holders, so pop in fair few throughout the season. The adventure play ground is excellent and the recently improved soft play is very good too. Lovely house and grounds to walk around. The only area that could so with improvement is the housing of some of the animals in the Tractor Ted Farm. What's with the tiny Chicken hutches. And Three calves in the corner of the wooden barn, doesn't seem fair on the animals, especially when the Estate is so vast.
Excellent place for a family day out, so much for the kids to do. We went on the recommendation of someone we met while on holiday, and wasn't disappointed. Easy to get to, ample parking and great facilities. The kids adventure park was amazing... Like the ones we remember from when we were younger, except the slides really are that big!! Didn't get to see everything, definitely pl an to go back if we're in the area again!
Great day out for the whole family. Beautiful house and gardens (albeit small) with a large lake and grounds to explore.Oh, and an amazing play area for the kids!
Lovely house and gardens. Plenty of space, not overcrowded on Sat afternoon. Small collection of paintings and drawings, with fascinating history attached. Most visitors seem to come with children. Lots of great play areas for children. Friendly staff. To my mind, nice to be somewhere which is not National Trust, somewhere more individual and more relaxed. It is a fine place, thoroughly enjoyed.
Large house with huge gardens and large adventure playground for under 11s. Nice walk down by the lake to a waterfall and a very dark cave/tunnel.Had one issue last time we were there when a whole row of cars got hemmed in by people parking 3 deep. Had to hand around for ages until the car next to us moved so we could squeeze through a gap to get out. Could really do with a parking warden....
