Under new management since September. Food was good apart from the yorkshire pudding which were more like cakes. Limited choice of roast meat - only pork or beef, and only 2 other dishes which were both very good. Not much of a dining area. Bar man/waiter (manager?) quite unfriendly. Reasonable cost but can't say we would rush back.

As a Service Veteran a group of us booked a table today for after the Rememberance Services. We arrived in good time, meaning to have a drink before the meal in the November sunshine. After confirming our booking on arrival we were told to "Go away" as we were too early, even though drinks were being served to others in the pub already... this was quarter past 11! The reason? The pub staff needed to "clear up after breakfast". We left. We cancelled the booking and were called back by the pub and shouted at down the phone. We went on to a pub in Cherhill who gladly welcomed us and gave us great service with smiles. I will NOT recommend going to The Ivy.
Absolutely outstanding. Was definitely not expecting such great service, kind staff and really top notch food. The chef was new so had only been there for five days, but the food on the menus was much more interesting than the usual pub grub, and you could really see and taste the skill and quality of cooking that went into our dishes. Really, really lovely. Would definitely treat myself by going back again. Really lovely and calming atmosphere and setting. Extremely quiet and calm, which is perfect for a summer's evening. Highly recommended.
